Related by Anas that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Seek the anticipated hour of Friday after `Asr until sunset” [Sunan al-Tirmidhî (489)]

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Friday is comprised of twelve hours. There is one in which a Muslim who asks Allah for something will have it granted to him. Seek it in the last hour after `Asr.” [Sunan Abî Dâwûd (1048), Sunan al-Nasâ’î (1389) and Mustadrak al-Hâkim(1032)]

Eat like a beast. Four sugar free jammy toasts with my jug of almond bananas yoghurt which I decided to chuck in chocolate protein shakes… I follow on to eat three eggs with mushroom but when your this hungry there no time to take a second photo… All I can say is…Bring on the summer! Join us at Rumi’s Cave for a one day POETRY WORKSHOP with Amir Sulaiman
The Word: The Bridge Between Thought and Matter

This workshop is for poets and non-poets who are interested in art and spirituality. The workshop will explore identity and the means to expressing it meaningfully. In addition, the workshop will engage the concepts of beauty and balance and the creative power of language.

Amir Sulaiman is an accomplished poet, activist, recording artist and a two time HBO Def Poet. A native of New York now based in Oakland, California Amir began writing poetry at the age of twelve and has released 4 album including his latest work The Medinan Openings. Amir will be launching his latest book ‘Love Gnosis and Other Suicide attempts as well as giving a live performance with Q&A. He has shared stages with artists such as Lauryn Hill, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, The Last Poets and more. Join us for an inspiring evening of poetry.
